Bruit de bruits is a collaborative sound piece co-created with students from the 6ème3 and UPE2A classes at Collège Rodin (Paris 13e), as part of the Art pour Grandir educational program initiated by the City of Paris. Led by artist Mélanie Blaison, the project introduced students to sound creation and poetic writing, inspired by the noises of their everyday environment — pleasant sounds, intrusive sounds, sounds tied to memory, and onomatopoeias. These were collected and transformed into a collaborative sound composition and a poetry booklet.
The visual direction reflects the poetic, layered, and playful nature of the project. I aimed to translate the diversity of sound textures into a tactile graphic language, using hand-drawn elements and typographic experimentation to echo the students’ creative processes. In addition to the illustration for online promotion. I was also in charge of designing and formatting the invitation sent to families for the final public presentation of the project.
