Watercolour and china ink on A3 paper
This series of self portraits were isnpired by three books I found in the Fine Arts Faculty library.
For the first painting, based on the book "Sociologia del Arte 2: Arte y Clases Sociales", I was also inspired by Salvador Dalí's Illustration of Hell for his Divine Comedie series.
The second self-portrait, for the book "Women, Art and Society", was inspired by Paula Rego's painting "Anjo".
Finally, the third illustration, the one inspired by "A Filosofia e a Arte ao Serviço da Revolução" was based on a photograph of Celia Sánchez Manduley, a Cuban Revolution hero.
